Will Twitter Kill Blogs?

While reading through the comments of this article on Justin Kownacki’s blog, Cafe Witness, I kept coming back to the second one. It continued to ring in my head as I tried, unsuccessfully, to read the other comments. See for yourself below:

Is Twitter Killing Blogs?

I can relate to Leesa 100 percent. Twitter, and other online social networks in general, have started to consume so much of my time and has taken so much of my energy, that I have struggled to keep up with my feeds in Google Reader. My intake has decreased and my output has increased. Is this good or bad? Is Twitter becoming the new “blog”? Will the way we view blogs today change drastically in the future to posts that are no longer than 140 characters?

Has your intake of blogs (and other habits) decreased due to Twitter?
